Resources in ClinicSoftware represent every physical asset that needs to be reserved alongside a therapist when a booking is made — treatment rooms, reclining beds, consultation suites, laser and light therapy machines, or specialist equipment. Once configured and linked to the appropriate services, resources are allocated automatically when those services are booked. The diary's Resource View shows real-time availability, preventing double-booking and ensuring every treatment has exactly what it needs.

Navigate to Settings then Resources and click Add New Resource.

Enter the resource name, assign it to a category, select the branch location, and set the maximum concurrent booking capacity.

Link the resource to the specific services that require it — bookings for those services will auto-allocate this resource.

Configure the resource's operating hours if they differ from the clinic's standard opening hours.

Monitor resource utilisation in the diary Resource View and in the detailed Resource Utilisation Report.

Name resources clearly and specifically — Treatment Room 1 is more useful than simply Room 1 when you manage multiple types.
Set maximum concurrent bookings to 1 for all single-occupancy rooms to enforce strict no-overlap scheduling.
Review resource utilisation monthly — a consistently underused treatment room may be costing more to run than it earns.
When adding any new service to the menu, immediately link it to all resources it requires — never leave this for later.
